Supporting the Good Work of Non-Profits in Barrie

Building Healthy and Vibrant Communities Across the Province

NEWS

22 November, 2017

Ontario is supporting 145 projects that will make positive changes in communities across the province.

In Barrie, the province is supporting the following project:

  • Talk is Free Theatre for a project that expands mentorship opportunities for youth between the ages of 12-20 through the production of site specific musicals

The project is part of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Grow Investment Stream, which helps organizations expand an existing, proven not-for-profit project. An additional project by the Barrie and Community Health Team is being supported by the Collective Impact Grants, which helps organizations work together to address complex issues in their community.

Our investments will make a difference in people’s lives through activities that encourage active lifestyles, promote arts and culture, build engaged communities, support a healthy and sustainable environment, and invest in the positive development of youth and children.

Supporting strong, healthy communities is part of our plan to create jobs, grow our economy and help people in their everyday lives.
